Jeong Kwan Jang coach Ko Hee-jin
Coach Hee-jin Ko looked back on the game.
Cheong Kwan-Jang Red Sparks lost 0-3 (18-25, 19-25, 19-25) against Heungkuk Life Insurance Pink Spiders in the third round of the 2023-2024 season V-League playoffs held at Samsan Gymnasium in Incheon on the 26th.
After the game, coach Ko Hee-jin said, "Congratulations to Heungkuk Life Insurance on advancing to the championship. The opponent's performance was better. We will make up for the shortcomings and create a team that can challenge higher places next season. We rewarded the fans for their enthusiastic support. “I should have done it, but I couldn’t. I want to say thank you to the fans.”
Regarding Lee So-young's absence due to injury, he said, "I don't want to make excuses. Heungkuk Life Insurance overwhelmed us. I want to say congratulations. More than that, our performance wasn't there. The rhythm wasn't our rhythm either. We were lacking."
Coach Ko Hee-jin said, "There is no time to look back with regret about the loss. However, I believe that women's volleyball can develop (beyond Cheong Kwan-Jang) only when defense and receiving are improved. If those areas are not achieved, international competitiveness will decline. We need to grow in those areas. “I will do my best to become a seed for the growth of Korean women’s volleyball,” he added.
