Gunsan City for ‘hosting cup competition’.

 The Korea Basketball League (KBL) presented a plaque of appreciation to Gunsan City, Jeollabuk-do, where this year's KBL Cup Tournament will be held.

KBL announced on the 8th, "Prior to the opening of the 2023 MG Saemaeul Geumgo KBL Cup Tournament held at Gunsan Wolmyeong Gymnasium, we delivered a plaque of appreciation to Gunsan Mayor Kang Im-jun and basketball supplies to support the Gunsan area basketball team."


KBL said, “Gunsan City, which hosted the 1st KBL Cup Tournament in 2020, hosted the KBL Cup Tournament again for the first time in three years and presented a plaque of appreciation considering that it is actively leading the development and expansion of the base for basketball in the Gunsan region.” In addition, 10 million won worth of basketball supplies were delivered to Gunsan City to develop basketball and foster aspiring young players.


Meanwhile, the 2023 MG Saemaeul Geumgo KBL Cup will be held at Wolmyeong Gymnasium in Gunsan from October 8 to 15.
