Hanil University of Science and Technology parents’

Jeonbuk Hanil Jangsin University Parents Association is attracting attention by donating an outdoor practice field for baseball team training.

According to Hanil University of Science and Technology on the 14th, the baseball club's parents' association recently decided to fully support the cost of installing an outdoor practice field. This is to help improve performance through systematic training.

Sponsorship comes in the form of in-kind donations. An outdoor practice field will be built on the university's playground.

The expected completion date is late March.

Kim Il, the representative of the parents' association, said, “We gathered the wishes of parents who wanted baseball club students to take classes and receive stable training within the school, so we requested the school to use the land, and they gladly gave permission, so we created a fund.”

President Bae Seong-chan said, “It is something that the school should naturally support, so I am grateful that the parents came together like this.” He added, “As our players are receiving interest from many people, I expect them to focus more on training in the future.”

Meanwhile, the Hanil University Baseball Club, founded in 2003, was evaluated as having the best passion for baseball even in a harsh environment, so much so that it was called the 'van baseball club'.

However, due to a continued shortage of players and financial difficulties, operations have been suspended since 2013. Then, in March 2018, he took over the closed Seonam University baseball team and re-founded the team.

They are establishing themselves as an emerging powerhouse by winning the national competition in September 2020, two years and six months after their re-establishment.
